if i have both browser script AND server script in a BusComp’s PreSetFieldValue method, which will be executed first?

if the browser script encounters the “ContinueOperation”, will it proceed with the SetFieldValue method thus skipping the server script’s PreSetFieldValue codes?

Hi Pravin,

If you want to update SRC_ID in S_CAMP_CON, then you should not populate T_CAMP_CON_BU_ID,T_CAMP_CON_CAMPLD, which are actually temporary columns which are meant for Siebel to internally populate after after EIM Job..
As per my understanding,
CON_SRC_BI (Name)
CON_SRC_NUM (Source Number)
CON_SUB_TYPE (Internal Source Type Code)
are the typical columns you need to populate the SRC_ID

Please leave T_ columns for Siebel Internal things to update.

In EIM Mapping, find the respective foreign key column mapping and update this column referring the base tables.

In case of IFB ,

ONLY BASE TABLES = S_CAMP_CON
INSERT ROWS = S_CAMP_CON, FALSE

The above is simple enough for an UPDATE, and if you want you can add the following
UPDATE ROWS = S_CAMP_CON, TRUE

Hi,

We have recently installed the siebel 8.1.1 application and facing a issue. The application login page does not come up suddenly and after some time it comes by itself.

Sensing that it is a number of OM tasks issue, I have increased MaxTasks parameter to 200 from 20 and MaxMTserver and MinMTservers to 2. This helped for a while but now again the problem returned. Another OM on another server works fine with same gateway.

Also I see that on that OM there will be not more than 20 Running tasks at any time as of now.

Can you pls tell us what is the problem and how to fix it.

This is really a very valuable and a rare information you have given to all of us but I have some queries. First how come Address we migrate before Accounts and Contacts? Second what about Access Group and User entities? Third can’t we migrate Contacts before Accounts for e.g. in Siebel Financial application?

Excellent and you do need to deliver Quick wins to customer and make sure he is at ease.

Also Customer interaction all along and never lose sight of Risks and Assumptions and mitigate them early.

I would agree with you on reducing unwanted meetings and also cut down on unwanted processes.

Hi there,
I’m planning a Siebel upgrade from 6.x to 8.1. It is the first time I do this type of upgrade but I have already read the Siebel Upgrade Guide and some tech notes on internet and I have read that I will need a two steps upgrade, first from 6.x to 7.7 and then from 7.7 to 8.1. Is that right ?

My main questions is whether I have to do the post upgrade tasks two times or if I need just one? (i.e in short need to know if task below 1e is necessary)

The plan I have is the following :
1 Siebel 6x to 7.7
1a- Perform Pre-Upgrade Task (6x -> 7.7)
1b- Upgrade Data and Schema (6x -> 7.7)
1c- Perform Repository Merge (6x -> 7.7)
1d- Perform Post Merge Tasks (6x -> 7.7)
1e- Perform Post upgrade Tasks (6x -> 7.7)

2 – SIEBEL 7.7 to 8.1
2a- Perform Pre-Upgrade Task from (7.7 -> 8.1)
2b- Upgrade Data and Schema (7.7 -> 8.1)

Hi,
I have what I hope is a simple question: How can I find out the last time a workflow was activated?
I know there are several “triggers” possible, but at the moment the system is complex, and trying to figure out the last time a trigger was sprung for over 300 workflows…

Is there record/log somewhere that lists when and which WF was run?
